The theme for this month’s Share Six blog circle is {Curves}.
My take on the theme may be a little tenuous but I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to share some images taken with the latest addition to my lens collection: the Lensbaby Burnside 35mm. The Burnside not only has gorgeous creamy tones, with the right application it creates beautifully curved bokeh. See what I did there? Look for the swirling curves that draw your eye to the subject:

Ceri these are so neat. Is the burnside a combination of the twist and the sweet 35? It has a pretty cool effect. I love the black and white image of your son and I love the purple iris. Gorgeous shots all of them.
Thanks, Sharleen. It’s not part of the composer system but the effect is similar to the twist, just a bit more subtle.
Oh, my goodness, Ceri, you showcased the Burnside so beautifully! (of course, now I MUST have one! 😉 Seriously, the tones and focus with that swirly bokeh are outstanding. The grasses and purple/green leaves really drew me in and made me feel. <3 Awesome!
Thank you, Liz. It really is a fantastic lens!
WoW Ceri, absolutely gorgeous! Love the swirly curves (very like the helios I think..) How are you liking the Burnside? Way out of my price range, unless I get a lotto win- although I would need to actually do it first! ♥
I am in love with these images so much Ceri, you and that lens make magic!
